Apple Pencil Sharpener

One of our little dogs is very fond of climbing up onto my desk and engaging in all kinds of high-tech high jinks: e.g., Playing random (or not random) songs on iTunes, clicking Amazon links in a browser window (thankfully she hasn’t stepped on a ‘Buy with One-Click’ link yet, but only a matter of time!) and re-naming files, to name only a few.

Small objects on my desk are all potential chew-toys, I frequently find bits of plastic on the floor and have to trace them back to the remains of a pencil, or pen. She has previously destroyed the end-cap of my Apple Pencil, but yesterday managed to get the rest of it and chewed the working end of the pencil quite a bit. Thankfully the pencil still works, though it sure ain’t pretty looking any more.

This morning then, to repair the worst of the chew damage, I found myself taping up and trimming the top of my Apple pencil with a scalpel.

Never thought I’d se the day when I had to actually ‘sharpen’ my Apple Pencil with a scalpel, old-school art studio style

Thanks Nibly! (this puppy was aptly named).
